How do some companies pay out such high dividends?

I love me some dividend stocks! I’ve been loading up this year because prices are so low but for comparison look at these two: $KMI and $T. Both pay $0.28/share, quarterly, which are some of the highest of all companies.

$KMI seems to be weathering the storm pretty well with positive numbers across the board.

$T not so much.

$KMI doesn’t generate nearly as much revenue compared to $T and their market caps are wildly different, so how do they pay the same dividend?
