How do people know to get into things like vtgn (it was up over 1000% in pre market)?

So I was looking at vtgn today and I was shook by how much it went up in one day. I know that everyone is going to say things like “no one knows anything and it’s impossible to figure out this kind of move in advance”, but someone must have had their eyes on it. Anyone at all. I looked on Twitter, YouTube, discord, but I couldn’t find anyone who was talking about it. Usually there’s at least one shady and questionable character on social media who is trying to pump a particular stock. I get that no one has a crystal ball. I’m just trying to find some guidance on potential crazy moves. I’ll assume the risk, I just want a place to look. Please don’t direct me to Wall Street Bets. It lost its luster after the great squeeze of 2021. Also tickers there have to have a minimum market cap.
