How do I get into this?

I am looking for some resources to understand how the market works and all the necessary info to start trading. I am based in the UK but all the videos and articles I have been able to find are related to the US market. Does the uk market work the same as the US one so its fine if I do my research on it , or are they different. I would also be grateful if you would provide some credible sources that provide credible info on how to start
