End of last year, I was floating between 8-11% from March 21 – when I finally got around to consolidating my workplace defined benefit holdings in one place I could direct myself.
YTD cratered out at around -8%
Today, I broke even on LSE opening at 8am GMT/EST+4, and have been floating 15-30bps in the black this morning (11.45am currently).
How does this compare with your experiences, and how are you feeling about the lay of the land? Obviously portfolios are all different, in what they hold, how they’re balanced, risk appetite, timing and structure of contributions, platform charges, location – the list is endless. But it would be helpful to understand a bit more on how my experience looks compared with what kind of performance curves others have seen this year.
