Federal Trade Commission is pursuing an antitrust lawsuit that was intended to block Amazon from purchasing MGM Entertainment. That ended up not stopping the deal from going through; as of today March 17th, Amazon owns MGM – the lawsuit comes out of fear of the e-commerce giants growing global dominance.
It’s speculated that, although a win for amazon, the bigger battle may still be coming for the global giant.
