EU lists Alphabet, Amazon, Meta and three other tech giants as ‘gatekeepers’ under new competition rules

EU lists Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Meta, Microsoft and ByteDance as gatekeepers.

They have 6 months to comply with the Digital Markets Act.

If no changes are made, firms could face fines up to 10% of their total global turnover. 20% for repeated infringement.
