The idea is you can build a crane system with a complex “AI” to stack blocks when the power grid is at a surplus. Then when the grid is low you can use the crane motor as a generator to produce power.
Moving 10T concrete blocks which are susceptible to erosion and mechanical damage in wind speeds hundreds of feet in the air is flat out impossible. Their prototypes are “successful” in storing 1kj of potential energy which is enough to boil a pot of water for an hour.
They’re technological offerings are more costly pump storage hydroelectricity which cannot be automated and extremely pollutant.
it’s a company that is unprofitable, has no cutting edge tech, and is destined to fail.
so uh why shouldn’t I risk my family’s livelihood shorting this bullshit?
