Don’t get fooled by daily percentage changes

Not investment advice. Just a friendly reminder to make sure you don’t get shocked when you see large percentage moves up during a down trend. The way math works with percentages is kind of weird and if you think about a stock can fall 50% a day for ever and not go to zero. If you want an example of this, just take a look at an inversely leveraged fund. The reason I mention this is that I see large up swings in this market and while that’s great for traders I just want to remind new investors and traders that you need to look at the asset price and not just the percentage change when your in a down trend. That is all thank you. Disclosure: I am long SPYD, DSTL, QQQ, USMV, ARKK, SBUX, VFC, LEVI, FB, PUBM, ZM, NFLX, DIS, ABNB, UBER. I am not an investment advisor. You should seek the advice of a professional before investing funds.
