Federal government passes $6T+ in Covid related spending over the past two years. Fed dropping rates to 0 fueling an asset boom. Yet no spending bills or policy the government has passed since the pandemic started two years ago have really helped people like me at all.
Not the target demographic to benefit from any of them. Not rich enough to benefit from asset appreciation but also not poor enough to get substantial assistance like rental assistance. While also having a stable job throughout so no PPP payments or unemployment income. Also not a homeowner so no housing boom or deferred mortgage payments for me. Also don’t have children so no tax credit or extra stimulus for them. By the time I got into stocks that the rich had already accumulated for cheap over the past decade, the market started to crash hard. Yet I’m expected to continue obediently paying taxes for others while the government doesn’t give a flying hoot about people in my type of situation though
