Is it profitable, or even possible, to short a company as a retail investor? I feel like Tesla is royally screwed. I feel like it has been wayyyyyyyy over-valued for years, but as Elon Musk shifts alienating his major customer base (i.e. “woke,” educated, liberals) into overdrive I don't see his conservative sycophants picking up the slack and going green to drive their hero's ugly, “woke,” ev's. Not to mention the ever increasing competition in the market. I think Tesla has no place to go but down. Am I too small to get in on Tesla's and Elon's self destruction? Can anyone direct me to a primer on shorts besides Wikipedia? Thanks!
