Do you buy the stock split or do you buy the stock before it splits?

I’m looking to get into amazon around when the stock splits. Amazon is 2404.19. Do i need to buy one whole stock to have 20 of 120 worth stocks? Or will i be able to buy in individually at 120 when the stock splits?
