Do any of you have a go-to stock (or crypto) that you invest in as a ‘savings account’ for short-mid term?

I invest accordingly for long-term goals, but do any of you invest in certain stocks/cryptos and use it as a small-mid term hold since you’re not making any money with it sitting in a bank savings account?

I’m looking to purchase a new car in the next year or so, and I’m looking for something to invest in that would provide decent gains in that timeframe? Not expecting anything drastic of course, but this is better than it sitting in a savings account. I just want to have as much saved as possible and trying to utilize stocks to my advantage.
