So I just looked into dividends, it seems absurdly simple. But I'm sure I'm mixing something up or missing something. ATT has a quarterly dividend of 9.9… so hypothetically if I bought 10k worth of shares at 18.30 per share… Every quarter I could gain around 5400 in dividends? And then reinvest that each quarter to increase my quarterly gains? Is becoming rich that simple? What am I missing here?
