Disney World packed Observations

Just came back from Disney World… here’s my observation.

I visited Disney’s Epcot where most of the park is food and stores. People were splurging, there were lines to eat at restaurants and some were packed the whole day not accepting walk-in’s.
We also spent a great amount of time at Disney springs, (where you hang out at night) and there are also stores and restaurant… same story.

Starbucks-Packed.
Zara-packed.
Under Armour-packed.
Most stores-packed.

ALSO, I went to the Orlando outlets where they have Nike, Victorias Secret, Express… a ton of stores and all I have to say about this is that I spent 30-40 minutes looking for parking because it was PACKED. Before I’ve gone and spend 5 min looking for parking.

GAS was about 3.40-3.80 so not too bad compared to other places…

So my question is: How do we analyze this. Because we can have volume of people going to these places but perhaps they don’t turn into sales. Or perhaps they do turn into sales and that still means that the consumer is strong. Or is the consumer TOO strong. Or is this a scenario where people want to maintain their lifestyles so they go into debt to sustain that lifestyle? I have tons of question and will probably spend the greater half of the week trying to do more research.

Not financial advice or data, just my opinion.
