Basic question about many companies trading in multiple stock exchanges. Say a company X issued a million shares and is trading on NYSE and in LSE. How does that actually work? Does it mean that the share capital of one million gets divided by 2 meaning on both exchanges 500000 shares are getting traded?
What does the market cap of the company consist of? Say our company X has a market cap of 1 billion. Does that equal NYSE+LSE?
I hope someone can shed some light on these basic questions
