Just put another 20k in Amazon after seeing prices I thought were never possible. I know everybody in this subreddit is excited about google at its current evaluation, but I don't get why there isn't any amazon hype? Fundamentally I think amazon.com by itself is unbeatable, but add in AWS and you've got yourself a monster. They also seem to move into many industries, such as movies and smart devices (Ring).
Their numbers were off for the quarter because of the shitty rivian investment, but their growth since pre-pandemic shouldn't be missed. Annual eps 2019: $23.01, and 2021: $64.81. Of course the current eps for 2022 estimates are low because of macro economic changes and fuel prices and stuff but I think long-term that stuff will be fine.
Many people say that amazon will see a slowdown once there's a recession but I wonder if that will be as shaky to the business as expected. After all, I and many other people use Amazon for basic necessities at this point and it's legitimately better priced than local stores, for better quality and fast delivery. Even stuff like food!
Anyways, let me know what your conviction for amazon is (and google).
