I want to start selling covered calls. The returns seem a little too high to me though…I’m looking at selling a $17.00 call for amc expiring 3/11/22 and there’s 8 bids for an 80 dollar premium on this. Is that correct ? It seems like you’d be netting around 19% a month doing this, so I must be missing something?
Also, if I already have the 100 shares then the only thing I can really lose is my shares. (which I’ll still get paid the 17 each for)
Do I understand this correctly or am I just an idiot?
