What is the typical confidence interval on monthly CPI inflation estimates? In other words what is the amount of random fluctuation and measurement in monthly CPI readings? Is there a lot of variation between annualized monthly inflation rates and year over year inflation?
Also, do stock and bond markets appropriately interpret the data for monthly inflation reports?
