I know I know I am a degenerate from WSB and I have no business tarnishing this wonderful /r/stocks sub with my shenanigans.
I accept all the criticism for my losses and I already know it's probably better for my health, my wallet, and my relationship if I just forget about WSB for eternity.
That aside… someone did bring up an interesting point yesterday.
When HKD went up 1000's of percentage points over just a few days there were no circuit breakers. But then yesterday BBBY went up just ~100% and there was a circuit breaker.
I'm wondering how they decide when a circuit breaker is implemented and why it was appropriate for BBBY but not for HKD.
I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation and I'm not a conspiracy junky, like I said I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation.
Thank you all for entertaining my post and if I get burried with downvotes I know why.
