Elderly mom holds a physical shares certificate of a stock she inherited from her mom. I have tried to add beneficiaries to her account at Computershare but they require Medallion Signature Guarantee to accompany the shares certificate in order to do it. Mom is unable to sign as she is in a nursing home and no longer has use of her hands. As Power of Attorney I have tried several times to accomplish this but no one will give me a Medallion Sig Guarantee. I’m really wanting to get beneficiaries named to avoid this stock account going to probate after she passes. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation?
