So recently I asked everyone what the most overpriced stock was and I got plenty of different choices to pick from (post below). With this information, I introduce to you….. The Reddit's Over Priced Index!
Here's how it works. Every ticker was 1 vote for that company. Each vote takes up a portion of the portfolio so more votes for one company means that company will take up more space (EX. TSLA had 8 votes whereas SPCE had one so Tesla takes up 8 times as much space). Every vote counted – so even if I disagreed, I can't remove any votes. The votes are closed so sorry to all that didn't get the chance but not to worry because the portfolio will either be updated quarterly or semi-annually depending on how lazy I am.
The real 2 things we're trying to find out:
- Are these stocks really driven by Hype and overpriced?
- Can you out-preform the index? (check the future updates to see if you can!)
Without further ado, here are the holdings! (Ordered from most votes to least).
There are 37 stocks with a total of 65 votes. The number that follows the ticker is the percentage (%) it holds in the portfolio
