I got to wondering today, how much do people on r/stocks and r/investing actually know about stocks. I am going to ask y'all a few basic questions about a companies 10k, and I am just curious if y'all can answer them without help.
Questions:
- What does GAAP stand for?
2) If I wanted to find PE, what formula would I use?
3) What does FIFO and LIFO stand for? Which is considered better in periods of high inflation and why?
4) If I wanted to find EPS myself; where would I look(statement of cashflow, income sheet and/or balance sheet), and what formula would I use?
5) What does AP and AR stand for, and what is the main difference?
You can go though and type your answers in the comments. If you do not know, just say it, it is ok. Be honest, don't cheat, this isn't a “gotcha” thing; use it as a learning experience.
