Can I buy and and sell an option on the same day?

I’m new to options. Learning what I can from YouTube. Question I have is Can I buy and sell an option on the same day. For example if the strike price is 220 but the stock is currently 210 could I buy a put option for 220 that I can sell immediately the same day and make that profit?
