What makes you believe that the talking heads on TV have your best interests at heart and will give you sound financial advice? Money cannot be made without someone on the other side of the trade. I really believe some of the best investments will not be applauded by the media (or even discussed). I wonder how many great future stocks are dirt cheap, on 52w low with the media telling you to run and hide in cash, yet whales & MMs are buying these great discounts and are getting to own higher percentages of these companies.
If you were super bullish late last year for the long term, but now all of a sudden are scared, you are getting your heart strings pulled just the way they planned, to get you to panic sell.
