I personally believe BX(Blackstone) is one of the best non-tech stocks to own cause it looks like a great company as it's mainly a financial+ real estate company and is BlackRocks twin basically. “Blackstone is the world’s largest alternative asset manager, with $1 trillion in AUM. First is Private equity in which it holds 137B in Corporate private equity AUM, 40B available to invest, 123 portfolio companies.
Second is Real estate in which it holds 333B investor capital under management and 585B value of Global Real estate portfolio.
Third is Credit in which it holds 295B in Credit and Insurance assets under management and 35B in dry powder and 3100+ credit covered.
Fourth is Hedge fund solutions in which it holds 78B under management, 27 years track record, 111 investment professionals.
Fifth is Strategic partners in which it holds 68B assets under management and 5200 limit partnership interests acquired and 2000+ transactions completed.
Sixth is Tactical Opportunities in which is holds 34B under management, 163 investments, 142 Tac Opps Professionals Globally.
Seventh is Infrastructure in which it holds 37B under management and 163B total enterprise value of portfolio companies.
Eighth is Life sciences in which it has brought 131 medicines to market, has 26 MD's or PHD's on the team, 85% Phase 3 success.
It's most notable deals it has been in are: In 2022 bought American Campus Communities for 13B, bought Crown Resorts. It also has a majority stake in Ancestory.com. In January 2018 the company announced acquisition agreement for 55% of Thomson Reuters Financial & Risk unit for $20 billion. In January 2016 Blackstone acquired BioMed Realty Trust for $8 billion. In October 2012 the company acquired G6 Hospitality, operator of Motel 6 & Studio 6 motels from AccorHotels, for $1.9 billion. It bought EQ office(largest owners of commercial office properties in the US) for 37.7B. It bought Hilton Worldwide for 26B in 2007 but sold it in 2018.
