I have been doing a bit of research lately on different IRAs. I have only had my 401(k) and Gov't TSP programs for retirement accounts (and two brokerage accounts) but am interested in the opening of a ROTH IRA as well. I am looking for the following:
1) Free or minimal fees, I currently pay $6/trade on E*Trade and Vanguard has an annual fee.
2) Ability to choose the stocks that I want to invest in. Sometimes the big grouping of stocks have companies that I either disagree with or don't believe they will be good investments.
3) Ability to use more than US Markets. TSX and other exchanges would be nice.
4) 24/7 online access.
