So I opened a fidelity account last year and started investing with a few etfs. I put 5000 into two and I just checked my account to see how it's doing. Over all I'm down a little but not to bad, but the math wasn't adding up for me. My basis amount went down by about 400 in both qyld and ryld. Is this normal, or to do with tax season. This is my first year investing and I am trying to learn as much as I can to prepare for the future.
