are there any floated companies that are making neuromorphic computing chips?

For those unfamiliar, neuromorphic computing involves chips that mimic the human brain's neural structure and functionality, giving huge efficiency to training AI models.

Neuromorphic computing is the holy grail of AI hardware

currently chatgpt and the likes use deep learning algorithms which use neural nets, which mimic the brain architecture but they are an abstraction that runs ontop of regular von neuman architecture.

The reason why this is inefficent is because the brain excels at parrell processing, the human brain runs on 20 watts of power but can out perform most super computers.

So think of it this way, you could train chatgpt with an appliance you could plug into your house.

curious to know if there are any companies, publicly traded, that are actively producing or conducting research in neuromorphic computing chips?

  1. Which companies are leading the way in this field?
  2. The current state of development and market readiness of these chips.

so far ive only found https://rain.ai/ which open ai has invested heavily into but they arnt publicly traded
