Are halts in trading during earnings reports common?

It's earnings report season, and lots of companies have recently announced (or are about to announce) 2Q earnings for 2023.

I vaguely recall hearing or reading that some stocks halt trading for some time when earnings reports are released.

I've searched for an answer to this question, but my Google skills have failed me. (More accurately, my DuckDuckGo skills have failed me.)

I don't usually trade on earnings news, so I haven't paid attention to this in the past.

Do exchanges halt trading during earnings announcements? If yes, is this true for all stocks?
