Apple and Amazon as your only stocks

So my brother’s portfolio is over 50k with only amazon and apple (no index funds, options , etc).
How safe do y’all think this is for the next couple of years?
I know that you are not supposed to keep all your money in one basket and atleast have a good chunk of your portfolio in index funds, but is he really risking anything?
