Anyone else feel like they’re in the twilight zone as they watch the House debate on the CHIPS &etc bill.

With so many interested in the impact of CHIPS on semi-conductor and down/upstream and other symbiotic price movement, I suspect I'm not the only one watching this debate live right next to Peppa the Pig. Anyone else a little gobsmacked watching democrats emphatically support a huge business subsidy and republicans staunchly oppose it? I feel the opposite of deja vu and am both amused and interested in the whats and whys.
