Anybody have a place to back test stocks vs index returns

Im looking to back test stocks vs SP500

Is there any way to back test stocks against the sp500 long term to compares returns?

I’m in the fence with my portfolio to keep dividend investing or look at just going into index investing. Returns seem higher with index investing but I do like the steady income of dividends .
