Advices for short-term investing

I'm an invest rookie. This is my first time to invest stock. Since I only have a budget of $200, I think a short-term investing is more suitable for me. Could you guys give me some advices for a short-term investing? Such as How can I select a stock, What information I should focus on, and so on.
