advice please, is P/e impacted by expenditures

I'm looking to learn more and I'm wondering if P/e is impacted by the capital expenditures/ reinvestments into the business. I think the question is do expenditures impact net income and inturn P/E?. I'm struggling to find information online that I understand as a noob.
