Advice on my investing strategy?

I am new to investing and have been reading a ton.
I use SoFi to put money into VOO, which I intend to hold onto for a long long time to grow long term wealth.
I opened up a Roth IRA account as well and plan to put DIA into it.
I’m putting money into savings and for every $1 k I put into that I want to get $1 k in bonds.
For every $4 k I invest into these above areas I want to get $250 in gold bars (I heard it’s good to have 6% of your assets in precious metals).

Thoughts? Or any other recommendations?

I do have a pension that will be very nice come retirement ($4 k per month at minimum plus whatever SSA gives me) and I want to generate more wealth for additional funds and I want to leave my kids something nice when my time is up.
