About to come into a (relatively) large sum of money…

So I am down 27% which seems about average. I believe the average retail investor account is down 28%. Turns out starting to invest in 2021 was a bad idea but starting young I’ve learnt my lessons and luckily within my first year of investing.

But now I’m about to gain some cash which is currently equivalent to 50% of my portfolio.

Now there are a few companies I am really contemplating buying more of – AMZN, GOOG, DIS, AMD, AAPL at 140

However, LEAPS on the Nasdaq are also looking like they could be extremely profitable. Even a short term swing of 10% could be massive for the small account I have.

With all the bearish sentiment, for some reason I am not that bearish. I think the market is way oversold. The consumer sentiment index is reaching 2008 lows so I’m just wondering if people are still actively buying or if the pain is too much.

What would you do with this extra cash, assuming it’s not needed for general life expenses?
