Hi everyone – extremely niche question here, especially as majority of the people here are not from NZ/AUS.
I had heard of the class action lawsuit but didn't think much of it…until recently I realised that I qualify for registering in the lawsuit for possible future compensation.
I've since gathered 3 different answers from 3 different sources, being Sharesies Support, Thorn Law & Shine Lawyers who all gave me different answers regarding the ongoing lawsuit and registering in it.
-
Sharesies support said “The (ATM) claim has been issued on an open basis, meaning it automatically covers all investors who purchased between (said dates)”.
-
Thorn Law (NZ lawfirm leading the NZ class action?) said “The class of those eligible to join the a2 Milk class action was closed by the Court on 23 July 2023”.
-
Shine Lawyers (AUS firm leading the conjoined AUS class action?) said “registration for the A2 Milk Class Action is confidential, no-cost and on a no-obligation basis” Indicating you do have to register to recieve compensation? Their website also states how to register and that you should register.
Soo my question is, is this class action lawsuit closed or not closed? Do you HAVE to register to recieve compensation? Or has the claim been issues openly so you DON'T have to register???
Any answers or input would greatly be appreciated 🙂
TLDR: ATM/A2M class action lawsuit. Multiple conflicting answers regarding compensation via registering, not registering and whether or not the claim is still open for registering in the first place.
