Sell and re-enter at the “bottom” or just DCA?

Hi! I’m relatively new to all this. About a year’s worth experience.

I have some VTI and QQQ.

Also have some blue chip stocks.

My father says sell and re-enter later. I’m more keen to DCA, although not sure.
