Average percentage below all time high?

I’ve been trying to find this answer and I’m sure someone knows or someone can Google better than I can.

To be clear I’m asking this: Right now the S&P 500 is down almost 17 percent from its all time high of $4804 in early January. On April 1st it was down about 5.5 percent from the ATH. On March 1st it closed down a little over 10 percent from the ATH. Many days during the previous decade the S&P 500 was at its ATH, zero percent below the ATH.

Does anyone know the average percentage the market (or S&P 500 if that’s easier) is down from its ATH? If someone has a link to a chart or graph showing this change over time or by decade etc that would be really helpful as well.

Thanks in advance!
