There is only one fundamental aspect of a company that decides if I should short them: If they are literally advertising over 10 paid promotions to me a day when I am scrolling on TikTok.
These paid promotions aren’t just any advertising, these are advertisement to BECOME A SHAREHOLDER.
To note: I am a 16-year old male interested in finance, business, and marketing which I would say is their perfect gullible demographic to boost their stock price. Also it shows their shitty advertising team because the average consumer gets mad at an advertisement and possibly spite avoids a product after 4-6 promotions of the same content. Clearly if your trying to attract customers to discounts on pharmaceutical products, you have to advertise well. This also gives a hint that they may be shit marketers or be using a shit program that automates their marketing fund allocation.
Also I am probably going to a more deep analysis anyway into the business model though on whether it is a short but i just want to vent that companies are this desperate to get shareholders that will blindly invest.
