Are capital investment corporations good investments during periods of inflation, recessions, etc. ?

The conditions of the markets right now have left most previously good investments giving poor returns. Tech stocks are mostly all down this year, and many dividend stocks will not beat inflation either, let alone make extra money. Bonds rates have gone up, but most of them are still offering returns well below the inflation rate. Precious metals are also not performing very well, and crypto is obviously too risky right now.

I’ve been taking a look at capital investment corporations that focus large parts of their investments on liens. I’ve also noticed that many of them offer great dividends ranging in between 7-10%, which all of the companies ive looked at have been very reliable at paying out.

Some of the better tickers i’ve came across are BKCC, OXSQ, PNNT, TCPC, AINV, and GAIN. Im thinking about moving some of my money out of my tech stocks and blue chips into these and letting the dividends compound until things cool down. What do you think?
