Input for new investors?

Sorry I am about to ask a lot of questions.

I am wanted to start investing and want input or advice.

(1) Do I invest myself or go to a broker? Pros & cons of each?

(2) If I invest myself is it better to use apps like Robinhood or other trading apps or what else?

(3)What are some “good” stock options for people looking to start?

(4)Which are better high-risk high rewards or low-risk low rewards?

(5) Short-term or long-term holding?

(6)What would be a “good” amount to start investing with?

(7)How do you file the taxes of stock? (Do you have to pay taxes for the stock if you haven't sold it by the end of a tax year?)

(8) How do I get companies' financial reports and other information?

(9) How do you find good companies when there are thousand on the market?

(10)What kinds of stocks should I avoid?

(11)What is an “IPO” and should those be invested in or avoided?

Anything else that would help with starting would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.
