JPM just authorized a $30bn share buyback program over an “indefinite time frame”. Most buyback programs don't detail a concrete time frame, only the quarter in which they plan on commencing the buybacks.
I figure that these programs are constantly revised and expanded so it could be hard/impossible to determine how long it takes to complete one (as they never actually terminate the programs). But does anyone have data or insight on the pace of buyback programs? E.g. 10% of the authorized program being done per quarter or year.
