Do you have same uncle as me when doing investing in stocks

This is what my uncle saying : I'm not interested in any theories of what could happen until I speak with people who do this every day and have been doing it for 40 years.

I do not think it is good to relay on someone else. Knowledge is poweful. We should discovery it ourself then combining with others' advice.
