I would like to ask you for an opinion about how to find stocks related to a specific niche. I'm trying to find stocks from companies investing in for example lab-on-a-chip technology. What I'm doing is getting into the topic and trying to find companies that work with the topic in a sense, which is a very immersive and time consuming approach.
I actually really like learning about the new things from the niche I'm investigating about. However, for someone that works along the 8h-17h commune, it can become very easy to stop investing because of the amount of input it takes. I want to continue investing in things I believe, but although I find many good information about the niche I'm pursuing, I collect very few companies with stocks on sale .
I must say that I am new on those things. I like doing research (I'm an academic) but I also realize that I need to invest and that I should do this for myself. So I am aware that I don't have the most efficient approach on how to find assets from a specific niche. I started learning about a fundamentalist approach towards investing (buy and hold) and now I'm trying to make that a habit.
How do you find good assets from a specific niche?
