Ignoring red in your portfolio

When I first started investing I got into some questionable stocks. Anyway, my loss on some of those positions is so great that I’d be an idiot to sell, better holding and hoping I can recoup it one day or get close.
Anyway, I’m pretty relaxed about such things, losses don’t really bother me, but seeing them every day is kind of annoying. It would be good if I could hide these positions and just have alerts set.
I guess they are a constant reminder of past mistakes though.

Have you got any similar positions? How do you deal with staring at them, sometimes for years.
