Financials have underperformed. History says they shouldn’t.


Financials/Banks should rally in a rising interest rate environment. The credit spread, the amount between what it cost to borrow and what they're able to lend, increases. That being said, does anybody have some concrete analysis on why the financials are underperforming the S&P this year and last?
