Options and after hours earnings

I have a hypothetical question. Im new to options so please don’t kill me…..

Lets say, the earnings date for a company is after hours on 11/6.

I have the option to buy options for 11/7.

When earnings are released, lets say I make a killing on the trade….
Do I need to wait for market open on 11/7 to sell, because the earnings report is after hours?
