Is there a way for me to gather historical data related to brazillian stocks’ short interest?

I am an Intern at a fund manager and received an assignment that requires me to gather this information, but it seems like every single available source requires me to pay for an API/database subscription that is WAY above my paygrade. Is there any way I could get that for free or at leat an affordable price?
