Am I stupid for seeing the market dump as a buying opportunity

Title says it all

Quick info: I'm only about 6 months into investing and I'm only playing with around 4/5k in my portfolio with 1.8k cash available to invest still. I'm still learning about the stock markets and economics in general.

All I'm hearing and seeing is fear and panic selling everywhere. Am I stupid for seeing this basically a black Friday sale for all your stocks and commodities, when approaching with a 2/3+ year outlook?

Would it be a bad idea to begin DCA through the market dump for long term holds or am I just nieve as I've yet to experience a market dump

Any opinions appreciated. Tell me straight 🙂
